This is the song, 'Aquarius' from the now nearly totally finished LP by Class M Planets. The video is a little odyssey through the album artwork as well to give you a sense of place. That's not me singing though, in case you're wondering. It's Chelsea Smith. Isn't she great?
This new album is called "deerpath" and it's going to be released as a gate fold vinyl lp with a download code. The vinyl will also likely come with another Class M Planets album called, "The One Commandments" as a bonus feature. This will be a download code label on the backside of a full-color insert that is another album cover by Cary Porter.
The entire thing will will contain 16 songs. I think there's only one more song to mix and then... DONE!

Ahhh, I've played with Scott from Rainstick Cowbell several times over the last few years and I've known him since his days in Creepy Old Trucks. He's quite a performer, AND: This event is his cd release party. Rainstick Cowbell the new wave of punk band in a box. One man with an acoustic guitar who's always about to go supernova. His songs are beautiful, though. Very melodic and definately from a tradition that Elliott Smith came from. Again, another punk rocker with an acoustic guitar. Having been the opening act for numerous punk and metal bands as an acoustic performer, I can tell you that the solo mission is greater in its rawness and directness than the loud bombast. Standing up there all vulnerable is far more bad-ass. Sorry, that's just how it is.. Saturday June 8th here in Portland. Come on down.

Very exciting news! The new split 7" singles are in! For those of you know me, you probably know my great love for the group THE BEVIS FROND from England. The group has issued many albums over the years and, in my opinion, embodies everything that is great and engaging about music. Their songs are intelligent, introspective, charming, and catchy, and Nick Saloman is one of the finest songwriters I have ever heard. No kidding. Nick was kind enough to donate one of his unreleased songs for this split record and now the results are in! This record comes with the beautiful cover painting from Chuck Bloom and there's even a download card enclosed. This is a limited edition so get one while it's hot! -adam
